It's another day of free-for-all card sharing from our talented Card Designers. We have a great mix of cards today, showing lots of variety.
“Good Times In The Sun” card, by Shellye McDaniel.
Using an oval shaped piece of cork as inspiration, I set out to create this island of fun card with the Sand & Surf Collection! Cork can be easily found at any craft-supply store. I love how it looks a lot like a sandy beach. I used strong-bonding Glue Dots to adhere the chipboard palm tree to the side of the cork. A perfectly peachy summer card!
Supplies:
Sand & Surf: Surfs Up, Paradise, Borders, Alpha+Bits Stickers,
Chipboard Icons; High Five Alpha Stickers: Blue; Ciao Chip Elements: Borders;
Button Market: Tie Dye
“Birthday Boy” card, by Shellye McDaniel.
This card takes me back to the days of Jr. High when we learned to weave yarn to make pot-holders! After cutting a 3.5" X 3.5" piece of cardstock, I then layered it with strips of woven Designer Tapes. Just apply the tapes to a piece of paper and trim; use a tab of glue or small Glue Dot for the bottoms pieces so that they won't move around while weaving. For a finishing look, machine stitch around the perimeter.
Supplies:
Birthday Boy: Alpha+Bits Stickers, Chipboard Icons; Sophisticates: Sprinkles
& Lace Ice; Freestyle Sophisticates: Freestyle McIntosh; Button Market: Blues;
Designer Tapes: 12 mm Combo
“On This Day” card, by Kathy Martin.
I’m really enjoying the new Bella Blvd feathers! I never used real feathers for paper crafting before and now I have a new addiction! They’re really fun and easy to work and play with! For this card, I snipped the top portion of a white feather off and used a dab of Quick-Dry Adhesive craft glue to secure it to my card stock. After that, I added layers as usual.
Supplies:
Love and Marriage: Just
Write Journaling Stickers, Alpha+Bits Stickers, Ciao Chip, Wedding Day
Miniatures; Feathers: White; Button Market: Aqua Flowers
“Bachelorette Party” card, by Kathy Martin.
You can always count on Bella Blvd to come out with fun and colorful collections! I’m loving the new Engaged at Last collection that includes my favorite accents like Designer Tape, Flags and Ciao Chip. And now there’s something new to love. Feathers! Because these beauties come in 18 colors, they are super easy to mix & match with any Bella Blvd collection!

Engaged at Last

Sophisticates: Freestyle Scallop; Flags: Bachelorette; Feathers: Gulf; Designer
Tape: Punch Chevron
”Smile” card, by Carina Lindholm.
When I first saw this “Smile” heart cut out, I just knew I wanted to make a card using it. It’s just so cute. I also wanted to use some of Bella’s new designer tapes and feathers. So I took a kraft tag and adhered a yellow scallop sticker and green & orange tape at the bottom. I adhered the heart using pop dots and tucked a blue feather under the heart. I also decorated the tag using some cute Bella buttons.
Supplies:
Sand& Surf: Beach Balls, Cute Cuts, Alpha+Bits Stickers;
Designer Tape: Polka Dot Combo, Pickle Juice Stripe, 12mm Combo; Button Market:
Red Flowers, Orange Stars; Feathers: Saltwater
“Let Forever Begin” card, by Carina Lindholm.
I used the lovely Love and Marriage-collection on this card. This is such a beautiful collection. I can see myself making tons of cards using this collections not just wedding cards. I cut out the heart and flowers from the Cute cuts sheet. And to give my card a bit more elegance I adhered a piece of Bellas new feathers.
Supplies:
Love and Marriage: Cute Cuts, Alpha+Bits Stickers; Button Market: Hot Pink Flowers;
Feathers: Cream
“Hi” card, by Sheri Feypel.
So many people have tons and tons of washi tape and don't know what to do with it. I have been using it in my classes and costantly hear that, so I have been busy coming up with creative ways to use it. For this card I created a background with the Grey Chevron Tape, layered a strip of Teal from the Polka Dot Combo pack and Red Dot for the star. I simply covered a small piece of scrap with the Red Dot tape and punched out the star with one of my many punches.
Supplies:
Designer Tape: Grey Chevron, Polka Dot
Combo, Red Dot
“Hello” card, by Sheri Feypel.
For this particular card, I am showing that you can use tape behind your "negative" cuts to create a colorful, fun background. Since my main focus for this card is the tape, I kept the rest of it pretty simple and clean.
Supplies:
Designer Tapes: Polka Dot Combo, Red
Dot
“Thanks” card, by Morgan Bandkowski.
There are so many different flower papers within all of the Bella Blvd collections, I love cutting the flowers out and inking them and then popping them up.
Supplies:
Birthday Girl: Party Dress
“Thank You” card, by Morgan Bandkowski.
I like to make my layouts and then use the scraps to make into cards right away. This way I don't have so many scraps leftover. My Thank you card shows how the smallest pieces can make a super cute and easy card. Pendants are so popular and I love adding them to cards.
Supplies:
Sophisticates: Sprinkles & Lace Ice;
Estate Sale: Nana's Apron; Kiss Me: Flutter
I always enjoy Cards on Thursdays!!!! You girls make it fun! :)
