Inspiration is all around us, and can be interpreted in so many different ways. We have chosen one image, and asked a handful of our designers to create a layout based on the inspiration piece. It's always fun to see what part of a piece a designers finds inspiring, and how they translate that into their designs.

“So In Love”, by Becky Williams.
This was such a fun inspiration challenge! For my take on the challenge I incorporated banner pieces, kraft paper, red and some hearts. I was able to pull in papers from a variety of collections to make my favorite color combo right now- red, pink, blue and gray. I added bits of Designer Tape in those colors as well and topped it off with some Ciao chipboard borders and a picture of my wedding day almost 12 years ago.

I absolutely loved the inspiration image, especially the large, bold sentiment that serves as the focal point. I was so inspired by it, that I couldn’t wait to carry it over to my own design. I also admired the banner, the wonderful use of white space, and all of the pretty little details that complete this perfect Valentine’s Day setting. I’ve created several layouts using the Kiss Me collection, but this was actually the very first Valentine’s Day themed layout that I created using it. I love how very versatile it is, and the colors are among some of my very favorites. It’s such a fun collection to play with, for Valentine’s Day, or any day!

“Sweet Friends”, by Gina Lideros.
I had so much fun playing with the inspiration image this month. I liked the idea of hanging a banner and clipping on doily hearts, envelopes and little messages with clothespins. The wood floor and white wall gave me the idea to make the base of my layout kraft/white and tie in some mustache love paper. I love all the bright colors in the Kiss Me collection, they were perfect for this layout about friendship. I also threw in some paper scraps that I had left over from the Lovey Dovey collection. I love that all of Bella's collections coordinate so nicely together.

Kiss Me: Mustache Love, True Love, Flutter; Lovey Dovey: Circle of Love,

Birthday Girl Flags 1, Floral; Crochet Flowers: Juniper; Designer Tape: Piggy
Pink Stripe, Blue Gingham; High Five Alpha Stickers: Piggy-Punch; Sienna Chipboard

I don't think you can look at this particular inspiration image and not be inspired to create something love themed! I was drawn to so many of the elements from this image. I knew I wanted to start my project with a mostly white background, just as is featured in the inspiration piece. Because this seemed a bit too plain I decided to back my whole project with a border of the Sophisticates Oyster Sprinkles & Lace paper, for a subtle but impactful effect. I went for a bold red title, just like the inspiration text. And in the end I just couldn't resist creating a row of elements/tags that appear to be hanging, as again, inspired by the original image.
Supplies:
Kiss Me: Bouquet Kisses, Borders & Cute Cuts, Alpha+Bits Stickers;
Sophisticates: Short Stories, Tall Tags, Sprinkles & Lace Oyster; Birthday
Boy: Just Write Journaling Stickers; Baby Boy: Momma's Boy; High Five
Alpha Stickers: Pink-Red; Designer Tape: Punch Chevron; Button Market: Red
Flowers, Pink Flowers, Stars
