We are looking forward to providing you with endless inspiration during these next few weeks, with never-before-seen projects that are being featured in our CHA Winter booth display. Our Design Team has been very busy creating oodles of project ideas with all of the new collections and products, and we are excited to finally share those projects with you!
“My One True Love”, by Diane Payne.
I am so excited about the new feathers, they are fun and on trend. When I saw them, I knew I had to use them to make arrows. I love the whimsical feeling they give to my page.

"Life is More Colorful", by Becky Williams.
One of Bella's brand new products from this CHA are their feathers. “Love This”, by Jennifer Chapin.
The new Bella feathers are just the perfect accent to wedding pages! They add such an elegant touch. On this page I used the cream, pony and saffron feathers to frame my photo. My sister had a fall wedding this past year so this was a great color combo to match the photo!
Supplies:
Love and Marriage: Cute Cuts, Borders, Smokeys in Love, Alpha+Bits Stickers; Engaged at Last: Bachelor Extras, Engagement Chipboard Icons; Designer Tape: Combo, Pony Dot, Gulf Dot; Flags: Engagement; Feathers: Cream, Saffron, Pony
"She Is My Entire Heart", by Laura Vegas.
I'm loving the new feathers, as they add a ton of texture and interest to cards and layouts. With the huge selection of colors to choose from, it's easy to find a few colors to match any project. The feathers can be a little tricky to adhere in place, so you just have to be a bit creative. You can see some smaller staples holding the bottoms of my feathers down. But I also used a few staples further up to help secure them even more, and then used my quote sticker to hide those staples. I also used some thread in coordinating colors to make 2-3 small "x" stitches higher up on the feathers, just to make sure they didn't shift around.
Supplies:
Engaged At Last: He Proposed, Alpha+Bits Stickers; Love And Marriage: Esther Fleming Floral, Borders, Alpha+Bits Stickers; Sand & Surf: Paradise; Sophisticates: Freestyle Saltwater; Sienna Chipboard Alphas: Pickle Juice; High Five Alpha Stickers: Gulf; Designer Tapes: Chevron Combo Pack, Hot Pink Dot, Ice Stripe; Flags: Bachelorette; Crochet Hearts: Punch; Button Market: Text; Feathers: Pickle Juice, Ice, Oreo-Black
“Ducky Days”, by Katherine McElvain.
Rubber duckies and feathers... a perfect combination! Especially these new, bright, colorful feathers that Bella Blvd has come out with! To make the feathers frame the layout I layered them on top of white cardstock and then under a sheet of vellum. Making the vellum flat and secure was a bit of a challenge. I stapled the feathers to the cardstock and cut off their lower bulkier ends of the feathers to make the base of the layout a little more level. To keep the vellum secure on the layout I used my mom's sewing skill to stitch around the lumpy, bumpy vellum (thanks mom!). In the past I probably would have never thought of adding feathers to this layout but I love how they add a different texture to the design that is out of the ordinary!
Supplies:
Sand & Surf: Beach Balls, Boarders, Cute Cuts, Alpha+Bits Stickers, Miniatures Stickers; Ciao Chip Elements: Borders, Stars and Hearts; Sunshine & Happiness: Chipboard Icons; Sienna Chipboard Alphas: Pony; Simply Simona Chipboard Alphas: Saltwater; Feathers: Punch, Ice, Bell Pepper, Pickle Juice
“Bachelorette Party” card, by Shellye McDaniel.
Feathers are fun! I'll admit that I was a bit intimidated to try and create a card with these, but what fun and I love the outcome! First I created a play-on-pattern with the two different colors of chevron papers found in the Engaged At Last Collection. I love how the base paper chevron mimics the chevron pattern of the heart! To the heart, I added the fun chipboard frame and party dress. Wanting to match up the fun teal color in the dress and letters, I used the Gulf Feathers and attached them to one side of the frame. I found that Fabri-Tac glue worked really well when attaching the feathers to the paper. After adding a little bow and button, I think the invitation is all set!
Supplies:
Engaged At Last: Bachelorette Party, Bachelor Party, Bachelor Extras, Alpha+Bits Stickers, Bachelor Chipboard Icons, Bachelorette Chipboard Icons; Button Market: Pink Flowers; Feathers: Gulf

"Party" card, by Gretchen McElveen.
Oh how these feathers can sass up a project! I cut the cute dress and lingerie images out of the "Bachelorette Extras" sheet and then used the feathers to embellish behind them on this card. If the feathers are a little tricky to adhere just be strategic about it. I actually stapled the feathers to the card here and then covered up the staples with the circle punches and dress images! Easy! The same thing could be done using adhesive instead of staples. And if you don't plan on covering up any part of the feathers, try adhesive dots, clear ribbon tape, or a clear liquid glue.
Supplies:
Engaged at Last: Bachelorette Party, Alpha+Bits Stickers; Kiss Me: Bouquet Kisses, Love Notes; Feathers: McIntosh, Frosting; Sienna Chipboard Alphabets: Punch
WOW, these are all fabulous!
