We hope you're ready to be inspired! We are looking forward to providing you with endless inspiration during these next few weeks, with never-before-seen projects that are being featured in our CHA Winter booth display. Our Design Team has been very busy creating oodles of project ideas with all of the new collections and products, and we are excited to finally share those projects with you!
“My Heart Officially Melted”, by Katherine McElvain.
If you want to create a cluster of hearts, all you is one sheet of Bella pattern paper and some of the new Crochet Hearts to coordinate. That paper would be one of the the Bella Blvd printed papers with large circles on it like the Beach Balls from the Sand and Surf line or True Love from the Kiss Me Collection. They are perfect for this project. I brought out a variety of sizes and shapes of my heart punches and punched out hearts from a number of the circles on the True Love paper. The circles have different patterns and colors as well as the print on the back side of the paper that gave me a large choice of prints when making my collage. Then I layered some chipboard elements and buttons, along with the crochet flowers to add some texture. Try it out. It was so fun to create!
Supplies:
Kiss Me: Mustache Love, Borders and Cute Cuts, Flutter, Bouquet Kisses, True Love, Just Write Journaling Stickers; Sophisticates: Freestyle Scallop, Chipboard Hearts and Stars; Crochet Hearts: McIntosch, Cotton Candy, Gulf, Saltwater; Button Market: Wood Mix, Neutrals Mix, Masculine Mix, Fruit Punch; Designer Tape: Punch Chevron, Teal Stripe, Pink Stripe; High Five Alphas: Brown Cream; Sienna Chipboard Alphas: Blueberry
"Dream Big", by Jenny Evans.
My sweet niece. She is always thinking. Always dreaming. She is so intelligent and so beautiful. I just love this photograph of her! I did border strips horizontally behind the picture so the Crochet Hearts could be scattered vertically down the layout to frame and bring focus to the photo. The hearts are beautiful and soft, but bold enough to stand on their own. The colors are gorgeous and work well on so many different types of layouts.
Supplies:
Love and Marriage: Cake Tasting, May Eighteenth, Borders, Alpha+Bits; Engaged At Last: Bridal Shower, Miniatures; Sophisticates: Freestyle Cotton Candy; Sienna Chipboard Alphas: Frosting; High Five Alpha Stickers: Gulf, Piggy-Punch; Crochet Hearts: Punch Hearts, Orange Hearts, Bell Pepper Hearts, Gulf Hearts, White Hearts
“This Smile”, by Laura Vegas.
This is one of my favorite photos ever of my youngest daughter, Sarah. I love her cute little pigtails, her big brown eyes, and that little grin she gives me that usually means she's up to no good! I picked out a mix of red, aqua, and grey crochet hearts (and a few buttons) and adhered them to coordinating squares of the Freestyle Sophisticates patterned paper.
Supplies:
Engaged At Last: Borders, Just Write Journaling Stickers; Sophisticates: Freestyle Gulf, Freestyle Saltwater, Freestyle McIntosh, Freestyle Scallop; Sienna Chipboard Alphas: Pony; Designer Tape: Grey Chevron, 12mm Combo Pack; Crochet Hearts: Gulf, Saltwater, McIntosh, Scallop; Button Market: Stars, Blues; Feathers: Gulf, Saltwater, McIntosh
"Can't Wait to Marry You" card, by Gretchen McElveen.
I was able to mix both the Engaged at Last and Kiss Me lines with the new crochet hearts! How fun! I love how the hearts can work with so many different lines. And how cool is it that the Engaged at Last and Kiss Me lines work well together too! Thanks for looking!
Supplies:
Kiss Me: Flutter, Bouquet Kisses, Just Write Journaling Stickers; Engaged at Last: Just Write Journaling Stickers, Alpha+Bits Stickers; Crochet Hearts: Punch, Gulf; Designer Tapes: Jail Bird
"Hi" card, by Gretchen McElveen.
I love the bright colors of the new crochet hearts and all the designer tapes! Pure fun! I thought it would be fun to try to mix the two on a card. There are tapes to match all the new crochet hearts so it was fun and easy to combine them here. Thanks for looking!
Supplies:
Kiss Me: Bouquet Kisses; Crochet Hearts: Punch, Gulf, Orange, Pickle Juice; Designer Tapes: Orange Stripe, Pink Flowers, Pickle Juice Chevron, Ice Stripe; Sienna Chipboard Alphabets: Punch
“Congratulations” card, by Shellye McDaniel.
Hearts, hearts and more hearts! I love this card layered with the brightly colored crochet hearts and then topped with a sweetly scalloped cardstock sticker heart. Keeping things whimsical, I started by embossing the base of the card with a swiss dot folder. Next, I created a color/pattern swatch in thirds by using two different Love & Marriage papers and border stickers. Between the top 1/3 and the middle 1/3, I added a border of the crochet hearts. To the bottom 1/3, I added a simple swath of "congratulations" cut from the Borders paper! The beauty of this card is that it can be used for so many congratulatory occasions!
Supplies:
Love And Marriage: Borders, Cute Cuts, Vows, Alpha+Bits Stickers; Crochet Hearts: Saltwater, Punch
