Bella Blvd Studio Blog: Cards On Thursdays

We're back with another free-for-all card day, with lots of fun designs from our Card Designers. A good mix of winter cards, a christmas card, a love card, and quite a few birthday cards!

“Happy Holidays” card, by Carina Lindholm.

I punched out a bunch of snowflakes that I glued down on the top of my card and I covered the bottom part in snowflake paper. I adhered two different scallop borders at the centre of the card. And to give the card some sparkle, I adhered jewels in the centre of the snowflakes.

“Winter Love” card, by Carina Lindholm.

I have used a few different collections on this pink winter card. I started off by covering my card base in this pink chevron paper from the Kiss me collection. I think this paper is one of my favorites, it's just so cute! I placed a large flower sticker in the centre of the card and decorated with some cute cut outs, sticker tags, and buttons.

"Merry Christmas” card, by Kathy Martin.

It’s beginning to feel a lot like Christmas around our house with the tree up, carols playing and sipping hot chocolate as much as possible! Being in a festive frame of mind, I wanted to make a card with the Christmas Wishes line. I love the traditional bright holiday colors in this collection!

“True Love” card, by Kathy Martin.

Ooh la la. I can’t get enough of the brand new Kiss Me collection! There are so many great paper patterns and accents in this line! For this card I created lots of texture by incorporating dry embossed hearts and lots of Kiss Me stickers layered with pop dots.

“Birthday Girl” card, by Kathy Martin.

Oh how I adore circles! They’re fun, they go with any theme and I really enjoy stitching around them! So, I was pretty excited when Bella Blvd included a circle pattern in its new Kiss Me collection! Buttons are another favorite of mine and round styles like these from the Button Market line make perfect accents when creating a project with lots of circles.

“Happy Birthday Cupcake” card, by Laurie Schmidlin.

I needed a birthday card for a sweet friend of mine, so I dug into the bright and cheery Birthday Girl Collection! I just adore the vibrant colors and fun patterns! I couldn't decide which papers to use, so I chose several! The cupcake from the Birthday Girl Ciao Chip Icons was perfect for the focal image, and the coordinating flag finished it off nicely!

“Bryan's Birthday” card, by Laurie Schmidlin.

My middle son is celebrating a birthday soon and I wanted to make him a special card! I love to personalize my cards when I can, and Bella's High Five Alphas (with so many different letter size options) are perfect for doing this! I used several papers from the Birthday Boy collection, three stickers from the Birthday Boy Just Write Journaling Stickers, and some Brown High Five Alpha stickers. For the finishing touch, I added some twine and a Bella Button.
