This week we are keeping with many of our usual daily features, but putting the focus on Christmas projects! Today is all about cards. I know that many of us send out photo cards to family and friends at Christmas time, which I'm all for. But there's still something to be said for handmade cards!
“Noel” card, by Laurie Schmidlin.
When I sat down to create this card, I envisioned a soft and girly look. I started with some non Holiday themed products, choosing colors that would be pretty as well as festive. After stitching an oval on a piece of Sophisticates paper, I added a die cut snowflake, chunky glitter around the edges, chipboard alpha letters, designer tape, and some star buttons! I kept the design simple enough that it could be mass produced. I just love the pretty pink and aqua together!
Supplies:
Sophisticates: Sprinkles & Lace Ice; Sienna Chipboard Alpha: Punch; Button Market: Stars; Designer Tape: Punch Chevron
“Joy” card, by Laurie Schmidlin.
I really love making shaped cards, especially for Christmas! With all of Bella's different green patterned papers to choose from, I just had to make a Christmas tree shaped card! I started by cutting out all of the shapes on my Silhouette. I added lots of buttons, a bow, and a chipboard heart at the top. For the sentiment, I chose to create my own using some Sophisticates Gulf High Five Alphabet stickers.
Supplies:
Birthday Girl: Party Dress; Thankful: Burlap; High Five Alphabet Stickers: Gulf; Ciao Chip Elements: Stars & Hearts; Button Market: Red Flowers, Aqua Flowers
“Merry Christmas” card, by Carina Lindholm.
I made this fun Christmas tree using strips of two different green designer tapes. And for the stem I used a tiny strip of brown tape. And using my sewing machine and red thread I stitched the garland across the tree.
Supplies:
Winter Wonder: Icy; High Five Alpha Stickers: Brown-Cream, Pink-Red; Designer Tape: Pickle Juice Dot, Pickle Juice Chevron, Pony Dot; Button Market: Merlot Flowers

I decided to make my title my focal point on this card. I really love the red color and the prints on these chipboard letters and they match perfectly with the red and grey papers from the Sophisticates collection.
Supplies:
Sophisticates: Sprinkles & Lace McIntosh, Sprinkles & Lace Oyster; Simply Simona Chipboard Alphas: McIntosh; High Five Alpha Stickers: Black-White; Button Market: Red Flowers
"Ho Ho Ho" card, by Gretchen McElveen.
I got a little embellishment crazy with this card! I just layered a bunch of stickers and chipboard icons down the middle of the card. It was easy and fun to make! Thanks for looking!
Supplies:
Christmas Wishes: Gifts Galore, Chipboard Icons, Just Write Journaling Stickers, Alpha+Bits Stickers, Miniature Stickers
"Night Before Christmas" card, by Gretchen McElveen.
I kept this card a little more simple than the first card. I layered the subtle red patterned papers from Christmas Wishes (Gifts Galore and the "b" side of the Borders sheet) to create the background for this card. Then I added some yellow, white, and green with stickers and the chipboard Christmas tree. Merry Christmas!
Supplies:
Christmas Wishes: Gifts Galore, Borders, Chipboard Icons, Alpha+Bits Stickers
"Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas" card, by Gretchen McElveen.
I did a lot of fussy cutting on this card to cut out the Christmas tree and the presents. I adhered them to the card with foam adhesive to add some nice dimension. I also adhered the sentiment and the bottom of the tags with foam adhesive. Thanks for looking!
Supplies:
Christmas Wishes: Gifts Galore, Cute Cuts, Alpha+Bits Stickers, Miniature Stickers
“Joy Peace Love” card, by Kathy Martin.
It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas! I was at the mall the other day and saw Santa, lots of decorations and there were Christmas carols playing. It really got me excited to pull out Bella Blvd’s Christmas Wishes collection and start making some cards! I love all these pretty holiday colors!
Supplies:
Christmas Wishes: Candlelight, Star Stripe, Borders, Cute Cuts, Chipboard Icons
“Noel” card, by Kathy Martin.
For this Christmas Wishes card, I tried to step outside the traditional box and create something a little more artsy which includes a couple of the colorful Bella Blvd Designer Tape styles. So what do you think of this funky holiday card? I hope you like it.
Supplies:
Christmas Wishes: Candlelight, Miniatures Stickers; Sienna Chipboard Alphas: Pony; Designer Tape: Pickle Juice Chevron, Red Dot
