We have more fall themed projects to share with you today. Yesterday was all about the altered projects, and today is all about the layouts!
“Happy Fall”, by Malika Kelly.
I like to use mist or ink as one of the first layers on my page. To make this sun with shining rays, I used some orange mist and a circular mask. I cut some patterned papers to the same size of each section of my masked circle. Alternating between my two patterns, I adhered each piece following the lines on the misted shape and added some stitching on top. I knew the middle did not have to look perfect because I would be adding the chipboard sun in the center. With the sun in place, the rest of the layout came together easily.
Supplies:
Thankful: Our Spot, Homey, Bountiful, Borders, Cute Cuts, Alpha+Bits Stickers, Just Write Journaling Stickers, Chipboard Icons; Ciao Chip Everyday Elements: Clouds; Designer Tape: Pony Dot, Teal Stripe; Flags: Thankful 2
"Capture", by Megan Klauer.
The base of my layout was created using my Silhouette with Kraft card stock & then layered on top of the Burlap paper. Tearing the Designer Tape in half and using it as a frame on the page leaves it with a rough, yet finished feel. I also used a bit of spray mist on the Chipboard Alphas to coordinate with the color scheme.

“Celebrating Turkey Day”, by Becki Adams.
When I first saw the Thankful colletion I fell in love with the turkey on the Cute Cuts page. After I cut it out I decided that I wanted to use him as part of my title. It was the perfect touch to my layout about my kids creating their own turkeys on Thanksgiving morning.

“At The Patch”, by Malika Kelly.
The Thankful line is perfect for fall layouts. I love the colors and the images. Every fall for the past 4 or 5 years now, we have been visiting the same pumpkin patch. They have an old blue truck set up for pictures and every year I have a shot of the kids in front of it. It has been fun for all of us to look back and see how they have changed from year to year. Since the colors of the Thankful line went so well with my pictures, I wanted to use it all! The only way I could figure out how to include little bits of all the patterns was to add lots of layers. I also wanted to try a tone on tone piece on my layout. For another project I had cut out some cream colored numbers and I had the negative scrap sitting on my desk. I added it to my layout and highlighted the number three (kids) with an arrow. I really like the subtle effect of the cream cut on top of the cream card stock.

“Fall Fun”, by Jaclyn Rench.
I find myself reaching for the Thankful collection over and over, as of late. The color palette is so warm and inviting and the sweet little images are of course, perfect for many photos we all snap during this time of the year. Once again, it was perfectly fitting for these fun pictures of my boys frolicking in a huge pile of leaves in the backyard. I finally tried my hand at the 'polaroid' trend that has been increasingly present in the scrapbooking world. I love that it gave me the opportunity to include so many photos, different patterned papers and lots of extra bits and pieces.
