Bella Blvd Studio Blog: Endless Inspiration Week: Sophisticates

We hope you're ready to be inspired! For the next two weeks we are looking forward to providing you with endless inspiration, with never-before-seen projects that will be featured in our CHA Summer booth display. Our Design Team has been busy, busy, creating plenty of happiness with all of the new collections and products, and we are excited to finally share those projects with you!

It’s colorful, full of class & just plain pretty. The Sophisticates Collection has quickly become one of the industry’s favorite everyday product collections. We have added three new Sienna uppercase chipboard alphas to our Sophisticates collection, to coordinate with our new collections.

“PB&J Time”, by Megan Klauer.

The crochet flowers have always been one of my favorite Bella embellishments. They just work so perfectly with any type of layout. Here I used them in a confetti effect along side some punched hearts from the Sophisticates papers. I also outlined the new Pony Sienna Alphabet letters with my journaling pen to allow them to pop a bit more.

“Buds”, by Sarah Klemish.

I started my layout with a black cardstock background. I added the lace paper and then added a cut down calendar in the very center. I sprinkled the layout with black paint. After adding my picture I placed a strip of patterned paper and a chipboard flower embellishment underneath it. On top I added a chipboard border, two tall tags (cut down) and my title.

I still love pulling lots of items from the Sophisticates line to add to my projects. Everything coordinates with the newer Bella lines like this background paper from the new Thankful line. I just love making new color combinations from existing lines by adding pieces from the Sophisticates collection!

“GoGoGo”, by Katherine McElvain.

One of my favorite papers in the Bella Sophisticates line is the Calendar sheet. With all of the different shapes and colors of the calendars, I could probably find a place for one on every layout. For this layout I chose to use the large black and white calendar for the background of my layout. Because it is clean and simple, it is easy to layer photos, embellishments, and titles on top of it. But I also wanted it to look a bit like a filled in calendar so I cut out a few of the dates and layered small black and white photos behind them. Since the layout focused on sports I added some Bella Blvd stars for color. Very fun that Bella now has chipboard stars and buttons stars. They coordinate wonderfully together!
