We have lots of new cards to share with you today, as our Card Designers created some fun "Free For All" cards using a wide range of different collections!
“Summer” card, by Kathy Martin.
I love the bright happy colors of the Bella Blvd collections! And sometimes I like more neutral tones. You can still use lots of color and achieve a more toned down look by mixing vibrant colors with Kraft card stock. I think it’s the best of both worlds, don’t you?
Supplies:
Sunshine & Happiness: Petal Power, Chipboard Icons, Alpha+Bits Stickers
“Heart You” card, by Kathy Martin.
Oh how I’ve been enjoying the Bella Blvd Designer Tape! There’s a lot of decorative tapes on the market, but none as colorful and these! And there are so many uses for tape! Sometimes I like using just a little to accent a project and sometimes I go a little crazy as I did with this card. Here I’ve cute a heart shaped ‘window’ for and used Designer Tape as a pattern underneath. I also added a little more to embellish the top and bottom.
Supplies:
Designer Tape: Teal Stripe, Pink Stripe, Pink Flowers, Yellow Chevron, Pickle Juice Dot; Button Market: Neutrals Mix; High Five Alphabets: Pink-Red
“Smile” card, by Alice Carman.
I thought I’d play with Bella Blvd’s stickers today and make something different. You can mix and match almost any sticker set, and create something totally different than what the sticker set was meant for. Makes for a quick and cute card!
Supplies:
Finally Fall: Journaling Stickers, Ciao Chip; Too Cute to Spook: Alpha + Bits; High Five Alphabets: Blue; Baby Blooms a Bella: Azzini
“Team Edward” card, by Alice Carman.
I know it’s way too early for Halloween, but it will be here sooner than you know. Plus I have so much to look forward to, like the next Twilight Movie! Apologies in advance if you’re a Team Jacob fan, but you got to love Edward … he’s so dreamy!
Supplies:
Too Cute to Spook: Full Moon; Making the Team: Journaling Stickers; High Five Alphabets: Black-White, Green; Ciao Chip: Finally Fall
"Thanks" card, by Deanna Misner.
For this card I decided to have a self-imposed no patterned paper challenge. NOT because I don't love Bella Blvd paper, but because I felt like it would get me out of the card rut I've been in. SO, instead of patterned paper I used Designer Tape. It was super easy to do, and I really like the way it turned out. Then I embellished it with all kinds of goodies and added a simple sentiment to keep with the straight-line design.
Supplies:
Sophisticates: Miniature Card Sentiments Stickers; Designer Tape: Pickle Juice Dot, Yellow Chevron, Teal Stripe, and Blue Gingham; Crocheted Flowers: Juniper; Button Market: Wood Mix, Bursts, Masculine Mix
"Smile" card, by Deanna Misner.
For this card I decided to simply play. I took a different approach and instead of starting with paper first, I chose to start with the chipboard flower. From there I layered it with a crocheted flower, played with some Designer Tape to make leaves. Only after I'd done this did I start to design my card. I also played with mists. I'd never misted a card before, and it was something new for me to do. Sometimes it's just fun to mix it up, whether it's your design approach or with new products.
Supplies:
Sunshine and Happiness: Popsicle Kisses; Designer Tape: Pickle Juice Dot; Crocheted Flower: Poppy; Flags: Floral, Spring Flings and Easter Things; Ciao Chipboard: Borders
"Sending You Sunshine" card, by Morgan Bandkowski.
Here in Wisconsin we are finally getting the feeling of summer. With our hot spurt, I was inspired to make a summery card to send to a friend! I love the bright colors...perfect to cheer someone up!
Supplies:
Sunny Happy Skies: Magic in the Sky, Borders N' Blocks, Creamsicle Clouds; Sunshine & Happiness: Alpha+Bits Stickers
"Thanks" card, by Morgan Bandkowski.
I love using my scraps to create cards! I used a simple circle punch with the sprinkles side of the sprinkles and lace paper. I inked each circle and popped them up to give the card some dimension. I like this card because you can easily switch the sentiment. It works for any occasion!
Supplies:
Sophisticates: McIntosh, Apricot, Banana, Pickle Juice, Ice, Chlorine, Plum, Punch, Oyster, Card Sentiments Stickers
