With Father's Day approaching this coming Sunday, a few of our Card Designers are sharing some creative cards with us today, just for the occasion. We also have a few baby cards to share, because you can't become a father, without having a baby ;)
"Happy Father's Day Coach" card, by Gretchen McElveen.
You know, sometimes it is hard to make a manly card that won't make a guy cringe! :) It was all I could do to not use pink & purple flowers on these cards! I reached for the "Making the Team" line first when I started these Father's Day cards. With lots of reds, blues, and greens in this line, surely I could come up with something masculine. Throw in some stars (my go-to manly embellishment for sure!) and I was set! On both of these cards I added a greeting on the inside to coordinate with the outside of the card.
Supplies:
Making the Team: Soccer, Cute Cuts, Chipboard Icons, Alpha+Bits Stickers, Just Write Journaling Stickers
"Awesome" card, by Gretchen McElveen.
I dug a little deeper into my Bella Blvd stash to make this next card. I pulled out one of Bella Blvd's first "boyish" lines called Super Stud. It's an oldie but goodie! And I thought the "anybody can be cool but awesome takes practice" sticker would make for a fun masculine card. My dad would surely chuckle at that!
Supplies:
Making the Team: Alpha+Bits Stickers; Super Stud: Bits a Bella, Label Additions Stickers
"Dad" card, by Deanna Misner.
I created this card for my dad, who's been known to wear his fair share of bowties. He was actually doing it before it was the "in" thing to do. SO, I thought I'd use his favorite accessory to create a bright whimsical card for him. I used a tutorial I found on YouTube, which after a few tries, I got the hang of it. And they were really fun to make. I topped them off with a couple of buttons, and the inner rim of a crocheted flower.
Supplies:
Sunshine & Happiness: Sunny Side Up, Happy Clouds, Borders; Button Market: Pickle Squares, Aqua Flowers; Crochet Flowers: Daisies; High Five Alphabet Stickers: Blue
"Love U Dad" card, by Deanna Misner.
We think our Dad (my husband) is an all-star dad, so rather than doing a sports theme "All-Star" type card, I was inspired by the star buttons in the Button Market and focused on them instead. I also loved using the softer muted tones of the Baby Boy collection. Who says Baby Boy has to ONLY be used for babies? Not me! Oh and quick note--I used the navy letter "i" repeatedly to make the navy sticker strip you see below the tape. I wanted something to coordinate with the navy chipboard star.
Supplies:
Baby Boy: Momma's Boy, It's A Boy, Ciao Chipboard, Alpha+Bits Stickers; Designer Tape: Teal Stripe; Button Market: Stars
"Little Monkey” card, by Kathy Martin.
With summer CHA quickly approaching I’m reminded of the adorable new collections that Bella Blvd. debuted during the last CHA and how much fun it was to create projects for the Baby Girl and Baby Boy lines. It made me want to revisit those collections and relive the fun I had with them.
Supplies: Baby Boy: Baby Blue, Wild About You, Heaven Sent, Chipboard Icons; Button Market: Neutrals Mix
“Princess” card, by Kathy Martin.
One of the things I like best about the Bella’s Baby Girl and Baby Boy collections are those adorable chipboard monkeys! They remind me of the book, “No More Monkeys Jumping on the Bed!” They’re just the cutest and thought they deserved cards of their own.
Supplies:
Baby Girl: Pretty in Pink, Snuggly Safari, Chipboard Icons, Miniatures Stickers; Button Market: Neutrals Mix

The cards are really GREAT and I love them all, but. . . that chipboard icon inside the "Happy Father's Day Coach" card is driving me CRAZY! There shouldn't be an apostrophe in "you're". "You're" is the contraction of "you are". . . and "you are biggest fan" just doesn't make sense. :(
Sorry, my grammar gene is showing.
