I hope you're all ready for some cards today, because we have LOTS of them to share with you! First up, is a cute everyday card, and some fun boy cards. Then, we have a wide variety of love and/or Valentine's Day cards.
"Be Happy" card, by Alice Carman.
It’s a brand new year so I was in the mood to make a happy card today. Don’t you just love the bright happy colors in the Hello Beautiful collection? I love to mix blue, red and green together. It’s the perfect blend!
Supplies:
Hello Beautiful collection: Thanks a Bunch, Cute Cuts, Borders N’ Blocks, Blue without You, Alpha+Bits
"Happy Birthday" card, by Alice Carman.
I don’t have any kids of my own, but I am an Auntie to four different nephews. It’s a busy household, but only when I borrow them or if they come and visit while their Mommy and Daddies go out for date night. Today’s cards were designed for the many little dudes in my family. Someday it will be my turn to have little ones, but not today … tee hee!
"Grreat" card, by Alice Carman.
Supplies:
Mr. Boy: Borders N’ Blocks, Connect the Dots, Cute Cuts; Sophisticates: Quattrofina Milk & Oreo; Sunny Skies: Alpha+Bits; Super Stud: Super Stud clear stamp; Hello Beautiful: Alpha+Bits; Christmas Wishes: Alpha+Bits
"Love You" card, by Deanna Misner.
I really love the cute animal cut-outs that come with some of the Bella collections, and I really wanted to feature this cute little frog. So I used him as my "prince" for this Valentines Day card, which shhhh! I plan to give my hubby. ;)
Supplies:
Spring Flings and Easter Things: Egg Hunt, Cute Cuts, Alpha + Bits; Sophisticates: Ciao Chipboard Peep and MacIntosh; Family Dynamix: The Littlest Things
"Bee Mine" card, by Deanna Misner.
Using another one of those cute animal cut-outs, I used the common "Bee Mine" phrase to create yet another Valentine. He's popped up along with the hand-cut hearts to give the card more interest and depth among the hexagons.
Supplies:
Spring Flings and Easter Things: Sunny Sunday, Cute Cuts; Sophisticates: Ciao Chipboard Apricot and Banana, Quattrofina Mustard and Apricot
"Wood You be Mine" card, by Deanna Misner.
And one of my favorite things about Valentine cards are that they let you be as cheesy as you want to be! It makes them that much more fun! SO, I used a play on words with "Wood" and some of my Bella stash to create this fun little card that could be for a boy or a girl.
Supplies:
Finally Fall: At the Patch; Winter Wonder: Borders; Sophisticates: Ciao Chipboard Peep and MacIntosh, Quattrofina Milk and Oreo
"I Love You" card, by Morgan Bandkowski.
I love to hand stitch on my cards & layouts. One of my fellow scrapbookers had the We R Memory Sew Easy Stitch Piercer (Hearts) so I gave it a whirl on the bottom of my card. It adds a little heart detail to a simple card. I can't wait to send these cards out for Valentines Day! Or I could use them for a Wedding or Anniversary!
Supplies:
Sophisticates: Peep, McIntosh, Short Stories, Tall Tags, Miniatures Family
"Happiness" card, by Morgan Bandkowski.
I decide to make some Love/Valentines Day Cards since Christmas & New Years is over with. I love working with the Sophisticates line! It is so versatile. I teach a monthly Quick Cards Class at my local scrapbook store, so I am always trying to show people how to use a few items to make a great card.
Supplies:
Sophisticates: Oreo paper, Tall Tags
