Welcome to another Tuesday Inspiration day, here on the Bella blog. Inspiration is all around us, and it's so interesting to see how a group of designers can all start with the same image, and be inspired by it in so many different ways.

I was immediatly drawn to a few things in this photo. I love the simple, manilla tags hanging from the ribbon, with the fun little ornamental pieces dangling from each tag. Banners are so popular these days, and the tags reminded me of a banner. I love the clean and simple Christmas colors of cream, red, and green. And I also love the cute little white and silver tinsel tree, which is such a fun twist on the regular, full, green trees most of us have for the holidays.
"Eating Christmas Paper", by Brook Stewart.
So many things about this image inspired me! I love the simplicity with the touch of whimsy, so I tried to keep the color palate fairly simple, yet fun. I mimic'd the rectangle shape of the hanging banner in the cuts I made with the patterned papers and my photo. I also LOVE that cute little tree with the tinsel, so I made one of my own from sparkly silver pipe cleaners! And of course, I carried over the Christmas theme from the image into my layout as well. I really used a mix of old and new Bella for this layout and I enjoyed the process of just choosing the simple colors and patterns!
Supplies:
Christmas Wishes: Gifts Galore, Ciao Chip Icons, Miniatures; Spring Flings & Easter Things: Mom's Bouquet; Sophisticates: Sprinkles & Lace Oyster, Petite Pieces, Calendars, Quattrofina Milk & Oreo, Quattrofina Spinach & Pickle Juice, Ciao Chip Essentials Asparagus & Pickle Juice
"It's Beginning To Look A Lot Like Christmas", by Lynn Ghahary.
I loved the image for this week's inspiration assignment! Banners and tags are so on trend right now in scrapbooking. I decided to cut several different strips of paper from the Chrismtas Wishes collection and create a border of banner shapes along the bottom of my layout under my photos. These banners are so easy to create - just a few snips of my scissors and voila!
Supplies:
Christmas Wishes: Icons Chipboard Stickers, Alpha + Bits Stickers, Quadrants Paper, Borders Paper, Cute Cuts Paper, Gifts Galore Paper, Candlelight Paper, North Pole Paper, Christmas Love Paper
"Wishlist Favorites", by Vivian Masket.
I focused on the advent banner in the inspiration image, using a similar design to showcase several key items from my 6-year-old daughter's holiday gift wishlist. I loved the little ornaments hanging from the tags in the inspiration piece and replicated that by placing Ciao Chip Icons below each of the tags in my layout.
Supplies:
Christmas Wishes: Ciao Chip Icons, Miniatures Stickers, Alpha+Bits Stickers; Winter Wonder: Borders; Finally Fall: Ciao Chip Icons; Family Dynamix: Ciao Chip Icons; Mr. Boy: Ciao Chip Icons
"Playful N' Curious", by Sue Mylde.
I love the banners and I know we're all in a Christmassy mood, which is cool, but I wanted to record my thoughts about my little boy who's really developing a personality these days. I simply cut out a number of vanilla cardstock to the same size and edged them differently. It was fun to play and put up different embellishment on each of the banners. Different stickers, and chipboard, a button and masked out a star! Really fun. I also edged the pieces with some grey ink.
The alphas from the Bella collection are always fun to use as titles, and this one is no different! Love the happy page! Happy Christmas and Season's Greetings lovelies!!!
Supplies:
Honey I'm Home: Block Party; Mr Boy: Icons Chipboard, Alpha+Bits Stickers, Chit Chat Chipboard; Spring Flings & Easter Things: A Tisket A Tasket
"Oh Little Trees", by Allyson Meinholz.
I was inspired by the lil tree, the ribbon and the tag banner. I decided to use the photos of the little trees we put up every year in each one of my daughters' rooms during the Christmas Season. I incorporated the title into the tag banner and used the border stickers as my ribbon.
Supplies:
Winter Wonder, Christmas Wishes, Ciao Chip
"Christmas Greetings" card, by Gretchen McElveen.
I was really inspired by the fun hanging banner in the picture. I used the fun Christmas Wishes line and tried to recreate something similar on this Christmas card!
Supplies:
Christmas Wishes: North Pole, Borders, Alpha + Bits Stickers, Just Write Journaling Stickers, Miniature Stickers
"Joy" card, by Kathy Martin.
This inspiration photo is quite festive and I love the banner so I wanted my card to have a banner too and bright happy colors; that’s not hard to achieve with the Christmas Wishes collection!
Supplies:
Christmas Wishes: Joy paper, Star Stripe paper, Candlelight paper, Borders paper, Miniatures stickers
