Today, we have a new face here on the blog! Ms. Laina Lamb
Hi all! My name is Laina Lamb and I live just outside Cleveland, Ohio. I am married to a very patient husband who puts up with my creative obsessions! We have 3 boys. I graduated from the University of Cincinnati with a design degree and worked in the architectural field designing retail stores, malls and graphics. After my youngest boys were born, I stayed home for a few years to enjoy being a mom. I started scrapbooking during this career break and found that I had found my true calling. I now work full-time as a freelance graphic designer and product development specialist for several craft manufacturers. My favorite projects to create are pages about my children. I'm excited to have had the opportunity to play with some Bella Blvd products and share with you my mini album today!
This mini album was created entirely of 4x6" photos! As a busy mom I typically scrapbook with 4x6" photos because they are a standard size and readily available. When I print them, I usually have a hard time picking out just a few for a page. Instead of tossing all the extra photos, I like to create mini albums on that one special day or moment.
Parade the Circle is an annual Arts Festival and parade that our family attends. This year was made even more special when my 2 youngest children were part of a group that marched in the parade!
I chose to use a Bazzill 6x12" landscape album because the size is perfect when scrapbooking with 4x6" photos. You can create pages very quickly by adding the photos in different orientations. Almost all of my project was create with Bella's Sunny Happy Skies papers and stickers.
Although, I snuck in a few bits of One Fall Day and Lovey Dovey because the papers mix and match so easily! The color palette of the papers were the perfect complement to my sunny, summer photos. My favorite pages of the album were created simply by layering the patterns papers and cutting out the images from the Cute Cuts paper.
I added a tiny bit of solid cardstock, use a few punches and finished off the pages with some machine stitching for added details. A very quick and cute album, don't you think?! Thanks for letting me share my ideas and I hope this project inspires you to create a 4x6 album for yourself!
Such a cute mini album! I love how the papers mix and match.

I really enjoyed your mini album as scrapping with 4X6's is so much faster and I love the multi picture layout. I love photography so the emphasis on the pictures is a great change. Thanks for sharing, hope to see more of your work.
