For today's tutorial, you will need at least 3 different size circles as your templates. The largest circle will need to comfortably fit all of your photos.
Step One: Work out the photo/s placement on your page, using your largest circle template, trace this shape onto your paper around the photos. (The whole circle does need to fit on the page.)
Step Two: Find the center of your circle and work in equal sections, cutting towards the pencil line, stopping ½” from the line. The amount of cuts you make around your circle depends on the effect you are aiming for. The length of each strip can also be modified to suit.
Step Three: Now that you have placed your largest circle, trace the other 2 circles on to your page in a balance position. (Remember odd number objects works best. I suggest 3 or 5)
Step Four: Cut circles as in step two, using a craft knife for any full circles on the page.
Step Five: Using something small and round (like a paint brush handle or pencil), curl each strip in towards your pencil lines. If the strips are too long or bulky for your project you can trim them down now. You can also different lengths on each circle.
Step Six: Once you are happy with the curled effect on each circle, adhere this framework down to your chosen background paper, and start to put your photos in place!
Finishing Touches: Now you can begin to embellish your page. The smaller page bursts can be used for journaling or title placement, whatever works best for your project. Here's my completed layout feauting all of Bella Blvd's recent All Inclusive Collection.
