I just love to make my layouts more dimensional and using frames is a good way to do this so I thought I would show you how I make the cute frame used on this layout...
You will need a 12x 12 paper, the adhesive of your choice (I used doublesided tape), something to measure with, a bonefolder, ink and a paper trimmer.
Cut the pieces of paper you need. The 3 pieces of paper should measure 3.5 x 8", 4 x 8.5" and 3.5 x 3".
Starting with the 3.5 x 8" piece of paper, score and fold at ½, 1, 1.5, 2, 6, 6.5, 7 and 7.5 inches.
Adhere the 3 x 3.5 paper in the middle.
Next using the 4 x 8.5" paper, score and fold at ½, 1, 1.5, 2, 6.5, 7, 7.5 and 8 inches.
Put adhesive on the very edge and fold on each side (both papers, the patterned side.) Fold together.
Glue the two pieces together, and voila, the shape of your frame is complete!
I like to ink up the edges before my frame feels totally complete =)
Thanks for sharing I am going to
try this today
Merry Christmas
