Like Ginger mentioned before, she loves creating altering projects with her supplies! Home Decor is another of her favorites and a few Christmases ago while looking some beautiful ribbon candy in a store window....
she thought it would be super fun to re-create this look with paper! Using our December Details products she created this darling Christmas Ornament:
Step 1: Cut two 12”x 1 ¼” stripes of the striped paper. Glue them together so that the stripes show on both sides. Next cut two, 12”x ¼” strips of green paper and glue them down the center of both sides.
Step 2: Very gently accordion fold your papers so that each layer is about 1” wide. Do not press down on the folds!
Step 3: Gently open the folds of the ornament and pierce the center of each fold so that it is easy to bring a needle and thread through.
Step 4: Tie a small bead to the end of some red thread and then pull the thread through the first accordion fold of your ornament.Add another bead and pull the thread through another layer of your ornament.
Continue this pattern with all the layers of the ornament.
Step 5: Tie a knot to keep your beads in place and tie a loop at the end of your string to hang your ornament on. All done!
Love this. It is beautiful. I think I'll have to try it!
