I made this book so that I could keep all my “to do” things in one place instead of having sticky notes all over my desk. I used Bella Blvd’s Sunny Happy Skies collection for my book. Here’s how you can make this cute little book.
I started out with a hard cover composition book that measures about 9.75” x 7.5.” The book has about 100 pages.Cover both the front and the back of the book with a piece of 9 ¾” x 7 ½ inch paper (I used Sugar Patch. Trim the edges around the rounded corners. I inked the edges of the papers too.
Adhere the banner sticker to a piece of the blue Pandaland paper, cutting it the same length as the book height (9 ¾). I also used the “today” letters from the Blurbs stickers on the end of the label sticker and added a couple of heart stickers. I inked the edges of this piece also.
Now cut out some of the cute things from the Cute Cuts patterned sheet. I chose the rainbow, a cloud, and a strip of trees from the Pandaland paper. I also cut out one of the small hot air balloons from the Magic in the Sky paper.
For the lettering on my book, I used a Copic marker (R43) to color the white letters included on the Alpha+Bits sticker.
Before adhering all the layers together I used some Avery Self-adhesive index tabs to add a tab for each month of the year and adhered them to every 9th page in the composition book. After I got all my month tabs completed, I adhered all the cut outs on the front of the book, then highlighted the rainbow, the cloud, and all the letters with a bit of stickles (I used diamond because it allows the colors to shine through the glitter).
And here’s the finished project. This was fun to make and I know I’ll enjoy using it!
