My Scrapspace actually doubles as my "do-everything" space: all of my crafts and hobbies are done here, including sewing, designing, drawing and scrapbooking. It also doubles as my freelance and business workspace when I work from home - not to mention it's in thh corner of my living room.
Storage is scarce and it's continually hard to keep it looking clean and not too cluttered, but still able to hold everything in this room that hubby and I use daily. I have a lot of craft supplies for such a small space (our apartment is about 600 sq. feet all together!) Thank goodness my hubby is artistic too, so our whole place ends up looking like a studio most of the time! I have two large desks set up underneath a long window which makes for a really bright space to work in, and underneath each of those desks are stacked bins that roll out and store most of my paper and embellishments both horizontally and vertically, as well as my sewing supplies.
I keep my most-often used supplies and tools on top of these desks (like my sewing machine, adhesive, and some paints), as well as projects-on-the-go or things I've just completed.
On the yellow wall (my favorite color!) beside the work desks, I have a shelving unit above my computer workstation that holds a lot of smaller embellishments: inks, buttons, vintage ephemera, mini albums, and other extra supplies. Everything is labeled so I don't forget what's what since it's not all opened. I go through everything regularly to take stock of what I have and purge on what I no longer need to keep!
Beside my computer desk and shelving unit is another stand-up floor shelf that holds my collection of inspirational books and magazines, my shop (Etsy) supplies and goodies, printing paper, fabric, yarn, and everything else form block-printing supplies to charcoal.
My motto really is "a place for everything" in here, and with this little (and always completely visible) space, it works for me. I have other storage hidden around the living room that's close to my desk for items I don't use very often and my scrapbook albums too, of course! I find that if I keep lots of cute little bits out in the open - like my colorful thread, recent sewing projects, and bits & pieces - it keeps me inspired and motivated!
