“Everyday I Love You More” digital layout, by Krista Lund.
The Valentina Collection Bundle is full of bright colors that go perfect with photos of my Kiddos from Valentine's Day! As always, I am in love with all the great patterned paper and tried to use as much of it as possible! LOL! Actually, this collection is full of cute elements too! I had fun layering them on my layout to give it a finished, complete look.
I chose several borders for the right side of my layout. I also included a strip of patterned paper. From another piece of patterned paper, I cut a small pink strip using the Rectangular Marquee Tool for my journaling. I pasted it onto my layout and rotated it so it was going in the same direction as the other borders. I embellished it with a word label and added the date.
I try to add more than 1 photo on my layouts. I take a ton of photos so if I only included 1 photo on my layouts, I would never get caught up. Although, I am so far far behind anyway. Oy! I created a photo collage in Photoshop. I opened a new file sized 8.5"x11". I left the background white because I knew I wanted the frame around my collage to be white. I could have added a patterned paper as the background but felt it would have been too busy.
I dragged the largest photo onto my new file and resized as needed. On a new layer, I created a 2"x2" box and filled it with black using the Paint Tool. I repeated this 3 more times. I lined up the 4 boxes and my large photo using the Photoshop Align Tools. Using the Clipping Mask Tool I added my 3 other photos into the boxes. I resized and positioned them to my liking. I made sure to lock the proportions so the photos stayed the same size ratio. For the 4th box (lower left) I clipped a piece of patterned paper. Then resized it to make the stripes smaller. I added a card from the Embellishments and tilted it the same way I did with the background patterned papers.
Because I love the patterned paper in the collection so much, for my background I layered 3 pieces of patterned paper. I resized and tilted them slightly using the Transform Handles in Photoshop. I chose 3 word labels each a different color from the Embellishments and stacked them. I chose not to align them because I wanted it to match the off kilter patterned papers in the background.
“Be You Be Brave” digital layout, by Megan Klauer.
Sometimes a quick after school photo shoot in the goat pasture while it rains is just what we need. Okay, well maybe it would have been better without the rain but Ella still had a ball.
I knew exactly which collection I would be using for this layout; the IF She Blooms of course. The watercolor styled flowers get me every time. They layer and mesh together so beautifully.
The little wreath of flowers that are part of the digital chipboard pieces from the IF She Blooms collection are my favorites.
I added three of them to my layout to create a visual triangle and by leaving the "Be You Be Brave" one the largest it doubles as the perfect title for my page.
