Who doesn't love a good sketch? It helps to take the guesswork out of the page and/or card design, but still allows you to put your own spin on things just be turning the sketch or altering it here and there. A few times a month, we'll be bringing you a new sketch, and showing you a few takes on the sketch by our designers. Today, we have our first sketch for November, courtesy of Becky Fleck.

I had so much fun playing with this sketch but I had even more fun mixing and matching collections on this layout! Even though this picture comes from a fall photo shoot, I really wanted the page to be bright fun colours to reflect the personality of these two! I am always amazed at how easy it is to mix and match all the collections - I feel like I say this every time but it is definitely something I LOVE about Bella Blvd products!

“Love These Faces”, by Jennifer Edwardson.
Playing with a PageMaps sketch is one of my favorite ways to create a layout. They are so fun and easy to work with and you're guaranteed a great layout at the end. I have this habit of taking a pic of Em & Alex with every gift they take out of their stockings on Christmas morning so I end up with A LOT of super sweet close ups. This sketch is perfect for photos like these! I didn't alter too much from the original design but I did add a solid base behind the smaller bits. The tone on tone yellow polka dot was great to layer on top of and really made all the other patterns pop off the page. Love how this one came together!

“Christmas Morning”, by Allyson Meinholz.
As I was working on this sketch, the layout reminded me of a big present to the left of the photos. What better collection to use than Christmas Cheer, since it will be here before we know it and it is the #1 topic I NEVER seem to scrapbook. I think the many, many, many photos and multiple colors are so overwhelming to me. The Happy Hearts pattern was perfect the year my girls wore matching pink and red striped PJ’s. One of our many family holiday traditions is that every year the girls get matching PJ’s. They may be getting to old to have matching outfits, but never too old for matching Christmas PJ’s!
