Sometimes you don't have to look very far to find everyday heros!
It's Gail here with you today to share a layout I created about my youngest little super star when he first started walking! What a brave leap these little souls take when they start to let go of support, and take those first wobbly steps! And the Oh My Stars collection was perfect to document this as you will see below!
There is a lot of fun color in this collection! I printed my photos in black and white so I could really have fun with the color scheme! As I started playing with the papers and elements, the color scheme of black & white, orange and teal really started to come together! I cut strips from the Borders patterned paper to place at the top and bottom of the layout and added my main photo cluster in the centre.
I added my usual layers of patterned paper behind my photos and tucked in a couple of the orange Tabbies. Oh - and I couldn't resist adding those clouds above my photos! They add the perfect touch of cute and I ran some machine stitching through them for extra texture!
I worked on adding a cluster of embellishments to the top left corner of the layout. I used a couple of the Gift Tags as the base and layered some phrases on top. This little cluster really reinforces the whole theme of the layout don't you think?
And finally for my title, I turned to the fabulous Homespun Alphabet Stamps from Illustrated Faith - I had the perfect ink color to match! I teamed it with a few stickers for my "You Did It!" title!
Even though I stuck to a limited color scheme for this layout, the Oh My Stars collection would have to be one of the most versatile I've ever seen! There is such a variety of colors and phrases and icons - my creative brain is already planning my next couple of projects using it!
