We are finishing today's inspiration post by getting to know Meghan Coleman of Jules + Henry, the talented hand-lettering artist behind all of the lettering for our new Acrylic Words as well as the writing for the Make Your Mark collection. Here's a little more about Meghan and the part she played in designing the lettering for these beautiful lines.
Words are powerful. One seemingly small word can be packed full of inspiration or emotion. As a letterer, creating beautiful words is my passion. I find such joy in playing around with different styles and pen (or brush) strokes because each choice, each medium I work with, elicits something different. And of course, being in the creative world as well as being my family’s memory-keeper, the words I choose when I document our stories matter.
One of my very favorite parts of the in creating for these collections was lettering all of the acrylic words. I was in awe of the list of words that Bella Blvd’s team came up with because to me, they weren’t just words; they’re hope, inspiration, and love. And knowing this is perhaps the most exciting part of all: to know that these words will play a role in you creating and sharing your story.
With Make Your Mark, I love how inspiring this collection is as a whole. The bright colors, the pops of gold foil, the simple, yet powerful words and phrases sprinkled throughout; this speaks to embracing yourself, to living life in a big and bold way, to seek adventure in everyday moments and to proudly share your gifts with the world.
I hope you find so much inspiration + joy in this collection (I mean, just the colors alone should be enough!) and I’m so excited to follow along and see how these words come to life in documenting your own stories! Oh happy day, friends. Cheers to powerful, inspirational words + making our stories beautiful. - Meghan Coleman
