Hi everyone! My name is Diane Payne and I’m so excited to be the Guest Designer for Bella Blvd. I live in Texas with my husband. We became empty nesters this year and I look forward to visits from our kiddos when they are on school breaks. I enjoy an office in the sky as a flight attendant and love traveling all over the world. I started scrapbooking over 15 years ago and my style has changed and evolved along with scrapbooking trends. I would say I am a somewhat simple scrapper with an “organized mess” on my layouts. I rarely make a page that doesn’t include machine stitching and typed journaling on my typewriter.
"Love You", by Diane Payne.
For this first layout I used the Sweet Baby Girl collection with a bit of Sweet Sweet Spring to showcase a vintage photo of my Aunt holding my sister as a newborn. Using my die cutting machine and punches I cut out circles in an assortment of sizes in several different prints and spread them along the left side of my layout. For the title I used the “love you” words from the Paper Pieces Die-Cuts. I cut apart one of the phrases from the Sweet Sweet Spring Daily Details paper and placed it above and below the title. To complete the layout, I added stickers, enamel dots and journaling.

When I saw the Sweet Sweet Spring collection I knew it would be perfect for a vintage photo of my sister dressed in her cute dress and sun bonnet for Easter. I created a border on the left side of my layout using patterned paper and the sticker borders from the collection. The “Spring” chipboard word from the Chip Icons was used to create my title. I like the contrast of the green and yellow letters against the pink and purple of the layout. For embellishments, I used flower chipboard pieces and flowers cut from the Bloomin’ Beauties paper.

The Let’s Go collection is perfect for me with my job and love for travel. For the base of my layout I used the B side of the Daily Details paper. I like the neutral tone on tone look with the airplanes for my background. On each side of the layout I used the Pickled Juice Clear Cut Transparency with a strip from the Borders paper over the seams. I like how the green and blue from the papers accent the colors in my photo. Below my photo I added the world and travel quote from the Daily Details paper. To embellish the layout I added tags cut from the Baggage Claim paper and my Top 5 places I want to travel directly below the tags.
Thank you so much for joining me today and thank you to Bella Blvd for having me as the guest designer.
