Welcome back to day two of our week long special feature! Bella Blvd is teaming up with Canvas Corp for a week full of inspiration. Canvas Corp will be sharing projects from their designers, featuring our Bella Blvd products, over on their blog this week, both yesterday and Friday. And we have a group of our Bella designers that have been incorporating their products into their projects, which we will be sharing right here, all week long.
Easter Mini Album, by Stephanie Buice.
Hi everyone, Stephanie here with a little canvas Easter mini album. For my team up project I was given some canvas banner pieces, burlap scraps and some mists to create with. At first looking at my supplies I was a little intimidated since I’m not really a banner maker, so it was time for me to think outside of the box! I was really drawn to the rectangular canvas piece I received, so after playing with them a few different ways I decided to do a little sewing and make them into a mini album. For my front cover I cut a piece of the burlap to fit and then added some patterned paper layered on top. I used some chipboard and paper pieces for my title and a few stickers to finish it off. Because I wasn’t sure how well my letters would stick since to canvas is a little floppy, I decided to sew them on.
This mini album is of last year’s Easter, so I already had a bunch of pictures waiting to be put to use. For my first page spread I used some of the papers and embellishments from the new Sweet Sweet Spring collection mixing in a few of the new Cute Clips as well, a little sprinkle of Enamels finished off the page.
For my second page spread of the mini I used a picture of my husband and son and another one of just my son hunting for his eggs. The paper pieces were such a fun addition to this collection, they make the perfect little layering pieces.
Page four and five of my book are of pictures I took while we were painting some of our eggs, I layered in a few Candid Cards to add some extra pops of color and again added in some Cute Clips. I also used some page tabs just because I like how they look peeking out of the top.
My last page spread of the mini album are quite simple. On one page I added another picture of my son painting some of his eggs, again I added in a page tab and a candid card again layered with some blue patterned papers.
On the very last page I decided to layer a little cellophane baggie on top of my papers. I needed a spot to store all the extra pictures I had left over, so this was not only cute but very convenient as well. I added in a little banner paper piece layered with a sticker then finished it off with a baby blue Cute Clip.
I hope you enjoyed my little Easter album, hopefully it won’t take me a full year next time before I get to documenting this coming Easter. Thanks for stopping by!
