All last week, and through today, we will continue to provide you with endless inspiration with never-before-seen projects that were featured in our Summer 2015 booth display at the recent SPC show. A handful of designers from our Creative Team have been busy creating brand new projects with all of the new collections and products, and we are excited to finally share them with you!
“You Color Our World”, by Jennifer Chapin.
This photo of my son is one of my favorites -- this is probably the third time I have scrapped it! For this page, I wanted to highlight a rainbow color scheme using the star patterned Just Add Color paper. I started with a 12x12 sheet of that, and used markers to color in stars throughout the page. I printed out a large photo in a circular shape, then matted on white cardstock and trimmed around the edges. I also added some stitching for texture. I used the white Amorie Chipboard stickers and colored them in for my title, adding other letter stickers as well. After embellishing with a few more word strips and some enamel, my page was complete!
Just Add Color: Star Struck, Treasures & Text, Trinkets; Rover: Treasures & Text; Ciao Chip Elements: Hearts & Stars; Amorie Chipboard Alphas: White; Enamel Dots: Oreo Black, Milk White; Enamel DooDads: McIntosh, Bell Pepper, Guacamole, Ice, Oreo Black
“Favorite”, by Jennifer Chapin.
Many times my layouts are inspired by a photo. That was the case with this layout - I had a photo of my daughter playing in the backyard that turned out well and thought it would be fun to use it in black and white with the Just Add Color collection. I used a few of the Invisibles transparencies on this layout, along with a few pieces of the black and white patterned paper. I added pops of color with stickers and a few felt bows. I like the subtle color along with the black and white - it just makes everything pop.
Just Add Color: Newsflash, Passcode, Daily Details, Treasures & Text, Trinkets; Invisibles: Love, Brilliant; Bella Bows: Bell Pepper, Oreo Black, Cotton Candy; Enamel Dots: Bell Pepper, Oreo Black, Guacamole
“Cool Cat”, by Jennifer Chapin.
We don't have a cat in our house, but I was excited to get to use the Riley collection to scrap a cat photo! Luckily a friend loaned me some photos and I got to play with these papers. The colors are so bright and fun to work with!
Riley: Fish Bone, Soxie, Borders, Daily Details, Treasures & Text; Amorie Chipboard Alphas: White; Bella Bows: Milk White
"Shall We Curl Up And Just Stay In Today" card, by Laura Vegas.
I couldn't resist using the "shall we curl up and just stay in today" sticker from the Treasures & Text sticker sheet, as it's the perfect size to go across the front of a card. I fussy cut the two little kitties from one of the borders on the Borders patterned paper and perched them right up there with my sentiment.
Riley: Friendly Felines, Borders, Treasures & Text; Enamel Dots: McIntosh
"Paved With Paw Prints" card, by Laura Vegas.
I wanted to use this 3x4" card from the Daily Details patterned paper sheet, and ended up trimming it down just a bit to fit better on the front of my card. The tone-on-tone text paper (backside of the Puppy Prints sheet) makes a great background for cards and layouts, as it allows all of the colorful papers and stickers stand out against it.
