This week, we asked our designers to focus on our Enamel Dots & Enamel DooDads when creating their projects. These little bits of color and shine are perfect for sprinkling across your layouts and cards. We thought it would be fun to see what other creative ways our Creative Team members came up with to incorporate them into their projects.
“Oh The Places You’ll Go”, by Heather Leopard.
My littlest was reading a book while waiting for the bus one morning. She had given me her bookmark to hold and I just couldn't resist taking this photo. I chose to channel my inner Seuss on this layout and was inspired by the book "Oh the Places You'll Go" with it's amazingly funky illustrations. I'm not one to shy away from fun backgrounds so I just started cutting, piecing and stitching. I really love how it looked with just the stitching but the Enamel Dots and DooDads really took it to the next level. They are great as standalone design elements, like on my funky background design, on alphas to accentuate certain letters or as an enhancement to stickers and chipboard.

"Beach", by Leanne Allinson.
I love the new Bella Blvd enamel dots and doodads and will often use them on a project to add that little something extra. But this time I wanted to re-create an image of rock dot painting without the fuss of using actual paint! The enamel dots already come in beautiful colors, it was just a matter of creating a round pattern with them.
I punched out circles from white cardstock and used them as my base. I then placed the center enamel dot and worked my way out towards the edge. In between each enamel dot I confess, I did feel the need to fill in the gaps with a contrasting painted dot. I love the finished look of this style of embellishment as it reminds me of collecting interesting finds on the beach.

“UR Sweet” card, by Corri Garza.
Enamel dots always remind me of sprinkles. I used my Silhouette Cameo to cut a cupcake then sprayed the frosting layer with spray adhesive. I placed my dots and then sprinkled with clear glitter. I love the way it looks....good enough to eat!

The only thing I hate about traveling during the summer is leaving my dogs behind. We have a great dog sitter so I wanted to make a card for her. My enamel dot "paw prints" were inspired by the paw prints on the Rover collection. They are the perfect accent for my card.
