Welcome to Monday Morning Challenge, where we offer up a challenge, and share with you our designers take on that challenge. Today we asked our designers to create projects that combine our Thankful collection and our Daily Chevies collection.
“Turkey Dinner”, by Becki Adams.
By stitching together pieces from the Daily Chevies and the Thankful collections, I created this bold background that reminds me of a quilt which is perfect to document our memories of spending Thanksgiving as a family.
Thankful: Perfect Day, Homey, Bountiful, Cute Cuts, Alpha+Bits; Daily Chevies: Chevy Carrot, Chevy Peep, Chevy Pickle Juice, Chevy Gulf; Button Market: Orange Stars; Designer Tape: Piggy Pink, Ice Stripe; Sienna Chipboard Alphabet: Punch
“Give Thanks” card, by Ashley Marcu.
Daily Chevies is the perfect collection to highlight the warm colors in the Thankful collection. For my first card, I used the Chevy Pickle Juice as a fun but simple background to showcase the festive stickers and greeting I created. For a little extra interest I used the inside of the alpha letters and popped them up with dimensional adhesive.
Daily Chevies: Chevy Pickle Juice; Thankful: Alpha+Bits, Just Write Journaling Stickers; Designer Tape: Pickle Juice Chevron
“Thankful for You” card, by Ashley Marcu.
For my second card I used several stripes of paper from the Daily Chevies collection to create a frame. This is a great way to use up scrapes and is another fun way of tying the two collections together. My color were all taken from the adorable heart sticker found in the Thankful Alpha+Bits.
Daily Chevies: Chevy Bell Pepper, Chevy Pickle Juice, Chevy Gulf, Chevy Carrot; Freesytle Sophisticates: Freestyle Banana; Thankful: Alpha+Bits, Just Write Journaling Stickers, Chipboard Icons; Sienna Chipboard Alphas: Pony
Thankful Jar, by Sheri Feypel.
I found a great deal on some candy jars and couldn't pass them up knowing that they were perfect for altering. I started off by wrapping a large piece of pattern paper around the jar, I then built on that base with several different coordinating patterns as well as a few die cut leaves. I'm really liking the feathers lately, they are so fun to use and can be trimmed to fit any project!
Daily Chevies: Chevy Carrot, Chevy Gulf; Button Market: Merlot Flowers; Thankful: Turkey Tracks, Homey, Burlap
