Welcome to Monday Morning Challenge, where we offer up a challenge, and share with you our designers take on that challenge. Today we asked our designers to create projects that feature creative ways to use our Designer Tapes.
“You Love To Jump”, by Jamie Harder.
I absolutely LOVE designer tape and Bella Blvd has SO many beautiful colors and patterns to choose from! One of my favorite things to do with designer tape, is to use it as a border on my pages. For this page, I used four different tapes, one for each side of my paper. I love how it draws the eye to the middle of my page so that the focus can be on the pictures. My youngest loves to jump - she is so fun and energetic and I wanted to document this!
Daily Chevies: Chevy Carrot, Arrows pink; Sand & Surf: Miniatures; Snapshots: Paper Pieces; Sienna Chipboard Alphas: Punch; High Five Alpha Stickers: Piggy-Punch; Ciao Chip Elements: Stars & Hearts; Crochet Hearts: Punch; Designer Tape: Ice Stripe, Gray Chevron, Polka Dot Combo; Button Market: Fruit Punch
“Fall”, by Kay Rogers.
I love using designer tape as a border for a layout. I used two tapes, one right next to the other, to frame the page. For the title, I cut out the title using my Silhouette, and backed it with a piece of card stock covered in rows of tape. I love the dimension the layered title adds!
Thankful: Perfect Day, Turkey Tracks, Alpha+Bits, Thankful Flags 2; Freestyle Sophisticates: Freestyle McIntosh, Freestyle Banana, Freestyle Pickle Juice; Designer Tapes: Pony Stripe, Yellow Chevron, Pickle Juice Stripe, Polka Dot Combo, Navy Polka Dot
“I Love You” card, by Diana Fisher.
I used some of my favorite Bella Blvd designer tapes to make this pie chart spinner card. Each tape represents a different piece of the pie, and all pieces lead to love & kisses. What a fun and interactive way to send your sweetheart some love!
Engaged At Last: Miniatures; Kiss Me: Just Write Journaling Stickers, Alpha+Bits; Love and Marriage: Cute Cuts; Designer Tape: Cotton Candy Chevron, Hot Pink Dot, Navy Dot, Pony Stripe
“Ho Ho Ho” card, by Diana Fisher.
Designer tape can be used to add a pop of color when an overwhelming pattern paper would take away from the simplicity of your card or layout. For this card, the designer tape adds interest to the large sentiment down the side of the card.
Christmas Countdown: Tabs, Paper Pieces; Designer Tape: Chevron Combo
