“Frankie Stein”, by Jamie Harder.
I LOVE Halloween and I am totally smitten with the Trick or Treat collection! There are so many fun embellishments to add to your pages - on the left hand side of my page I layered up several paper pieces (I had to resist putting every single paper piece onto this page…ha). My daughter was thrilled to find a FrankieStein costume from Monster High that the day we bought it, she wore it all day! I took advantage of that and got a few photos early while it was still nice out since Halloween where I live means she will be so bundled up on that cold night that no one will be able to even see her costume!

“They Call Me SUPER Taylor”, by Jodi Wilton.
The inspiration for this layout came from my daughters super cute photos! I simply LOVED the colors she wore, and how that little bit of pop of yellow on her shirt, was just enough to bring it all together! I knew the Snapshots collection would be absolutely perfect for these photos, plus how often do you get to scrapbook your child as a super hero. (Yes, she actually flies around the house calling out "I'm Super Taylor!") The yellow Crochet Hearts were the perfect touch to add that bit of yellow into the layout!

“Just Be Merry” card, by Shellye McDaniel.
I drew inspiration from the snowflakes on the Christmas Cuties paper. I started with a snowflake embossed card and layered on snowflakes that I die cut from various sections of patterned paper (the white/red stripe paper is actually a part of a journal card). After threading each button with white crochet thread, I attached them to the center of each snowflake with a thin glue dot.

“Oh Christmas Tree” card, by Shellye McDaniel.
For this card, I wanted to bring the cute tree on the journal card more into focus. To do so, I used a tree die (or a triangle would work too) and cut the shape from the red chevron pattern of the Christmas Paper. I always forget about this technique, but it's one that I love the effect of: with a piercing tool and mat, I outlined the shape of the die cut tree. I think it fits in nicely with the blanket stitching and gingham patterned paper!
