Today we are sharing some free-for-all projects from our designers, where they have free reign to use whatever collections they like as they create layouts, cards, and altered projects.
“Today”, by Sheri Reguly.
I absolutely love the “Today Is Beautiful” patterned paper from the Play Date collection. The colors matched beautifully with those in my daughter’s skirt, making it the perfect choice for my layout. I paired it with the tiny yellow hearts from the Snapshots collection, and embellished my page with several sticker accents and a width of designer tape along the bottom edge to help ground my design.
Snapshots: Daily Details, Paper Pieces, Bookplates; Play Date: Today Is Beautiful, Alpha+Bits; Daily Chevies: Arrows Pink; Designer Tape: Chevron Combo; Button Market: Blues
“The Park in Grand Bend”, by Malika Kelly.
I love the bright colors in the new Play Date collection! These park pictures from our vacation this summer were perfect for the collection. I printed them at 3"x4" so that I could fit three on my layout and still have room for a big title and embellishments. To add some interest to the sunshine Daily Details card, I hand stitched along the rays. I then randomly added some buttons on top of my stitching. Of course there is always room on my layouts for a little machine stitching!
Play Date: Catching Bugs, Little Birdie, Daily Details, Alpha+Bits, Tabs; Daily Chevies: Chevy Oreo, Arrows Gulf; High Five Alpha Stickers: Black-White, Yellow, Pink-Red, Green; Button Market: Fruit Punch; Crochet Hearts: Bell Pepper
Back to School kit, by Wendy Antenucci.
We are a homeschool family which means some of our school supplies tend to get old looking like this old clipboard I had lying around. And pencils disappear as if there was some pencil monster in the house! Notebooks are bought in bulk because someone always needs another one. So I thought I would get a jump on things and spiffy up a few of the basic school supplies everyone needs.
I started with the old clipboard which had been written all over and looked horrible, but with some mod podge and lovely papers I was able to restore this eye sore to something that my daughter will love using.
Next I had this great composition book, but the binding was coming unstuck, yuck what a mess! So I mod podged right over the cover adding some papers that my daughter would enjoy and finished off the spine with some of Bella's Designer Tapes.
For our pencils I used a powdered tea container and with some mod podge and papers turned it into a great pencil can. Finally to spruce up those #2 pencils I wrapped Designer Tape around them in a variety of colors, quick and easy, but the kids are already fighting over the pretty pencils!
Midterm: Text Me, Pep Rally, Blurbs; Sand & Surf: Just Write Journaling Stickers; Freestyle Sophisticates: Freestyle Gulf; Socialite: Tango, R.S.V.P., Countdown; Designer Tape: Red Dot, Hot Pink Dot, Gulf Dot, Navy Dot, Chlorine Dot; High Five Alpha Stickers: Pink-Red, Gulf, Yellow, Blue
Teacher's Apple, by Wendy Antenucci.
Every teacher needs an apple and since we homeschool I figured I deserved an apple too! I found a paper mache apple at my local Michael's and with the help of a little designer tape and a photo holder piece I had in my stash I now have a very functional apple to hold notes.
Designer Tape: Pickle Juice Dot
“Birthday Girl” card, by Kathy Martin.
You can’t have a birthday party without a party banner! So I created this festive birthday banner card with one of my favorite Bella Blvd. collections, Birthday Girl. Using the many colorful patterned papers in this line along with some pennant and arrow dies, I layered all these elements together and topped them with some Alpha+Bits stickers. Holding it all together are the pretty Boutique Buttons and a bit of twine.
Birthday Girl: Borders, Dancing Queen, Party Dress, Celebrate, Miles of Smiles, Alpha+Bits; Sophisticates: Card Sentiments Miniatures; Feathers: Bell Pepper; Boutique Buttons: Neutral Mix, Hot Pink Flowers, Fruit Punch
