I love a great summer collection that is full of color and fun elements, and Sand & Surf is exactly that. I always love the Border and Cute Cut sheets of patterned paper, and ended up using those quite a bit on this layout. I cropped the photos (taken by a friend, of her two daughers) in a way that left some empty space so that I could add some fun little stickers and a stick pin flag.

I was inspired by the "I Love to Travel" journal card from the Cute Cuts paper to gather vacation photos from multiple tropical trips to create a layout about our love of tropical vacations.

“A Perfect Vacation”, by Malika Kelly.
Sand and Surf is such a fun collection! A great bunch of bright patterns; perfect for any beach vacation... or even everyday summer pictures. I've always wanted to try a pie chart on a layout and this seemed like a great opportunity. Being on vacation I felt I only needed 4 parts to my pie chart! I used the brown patterned paper to represent the sandy beach and the blue, the pool. The smaller pie pieces I left for sleeping and eating. I stitched on top to make the pie pieces a little more defined. The circular sun as well as the oval behind the palm tree helped tie in the circle motif of the pie chart.

“Float On”, by Katherine McElvain.
What I love about the new Sand and Surf line is that it coordinates with any possible vacation color pallet. It was the perfect combination for this layout of my daughter spending some quality time in the pool. To start putting the layout together I punched out a variety of circle shapes and trailed them across the page with a mix of hand stitched circles and flowers cut from the Boarders sheet and Paradise printed paper. Trailing elements across a layout is one of my favorite techniques. It is fun to watch how it all comes together as pieces are layered on top of each other. The Bella Blvd Stickers and Chipboard Icons from Sand and Surf added that pop of pink color and put on the finishing touch I was looking for.

"Missing You" card, by Gretchen McElveen.
I am so excited for a great beach/vacation line from Bella Blvd! I thought the fun "Vacation Checklist" sticker from the sheet of "Just Write Journaling Stickers" would make for a good "missing you" card. I cut the sun and clouds out of the "Cute Cuts" and "Borders" patterned papers and tucked them behind the right corner of the sticker. Thanks for looking!

“Hello Sunshine” card, by Laurie Schmidlin.
I am so loving the bright, fun colors in the new Sand & Surf collection! For my card, I combined some of the new papers, Miniatures Stickers, Alpha+Bits Cardstock Stickers, and images stamped with the new Cling Stamp Set. For embellishments, I added a Flag and Button Market Buttons.

Love them.. I have so many sun and surf photos to scrap -- on my list for sure...Laura I love the photos and the cute square feel.. Beautiful! the stitching is perfect touch as well.. You always amaze me!
