We are very excited to introduce you to our October Guest Designer, Jaime Warren! She's created three fabulous layouts, using three seperate collections.
Hi everyone! Jaime Warren with you today here on the Bella Blvd blog! I am so excited to be here, sharing my projects with you all! Before I get started, I want to share just a bit about myself. I’m the proud mom of three girls – Hailey (12), Jill (10) and Addison (5.) I am married to a wonderful man who is incredibly supportive of my work in both photography and scrapbooking. We are a homeschooling family (this is our 3rd year!) and I feel very blessed to be able to have my girls at home with me (even though I’m sure they want to strangle me most days. Lol!). I have been in the scrapbooking industry for a while now – 7 years and counting. I have had the opportunity to work with several different manufacturers, magazines and scrapbooking stores. I am currently a Two Peas In A Bucket Garden Girl and part of the amazing Webster’s Pages design team!
My style of scrapbooking is a bit “quirky”. I love to use embellishments, but I also love white space. I also love little details and I incorporate them into my overall design. I also LOVE pop dots – every layout has at least one to two pop dotted embellishments! I’m not a technique based scrapper. But, I do have a small arsenal of techniques that I use on a consistent basis. These three layouts using these awesome collections truly show my typical style – scattered embellishments and lots of dimension.
"My Favorite", by Jaime Warren.
My first layout, “My Favorite”, is all about Halloween! It is my favorite holiday and I loved using Too Cute To Spook to document it. I love the traditional bold black and orange and so I made it the base colors of my layout. The green on the stickers was the perfect pop of color. I used foam pop dots (of course! Lol.) on the stickers to help add dimension to the layout. I added hand written journaling instead of my typical journaling strips. I love adding hand written journaling for the personal touch it adds. Even if you aren’t a fan of your handwriting, add it on your layouts! You’ll be happy that you did!
"October Memories", by Jaime Warren.
My second layout, “October Memories”, is all about the stickers! One of my favorite title “techniques” is to use phrase stickers in place of a normal title. I am the world’s worst at coming up with fun, witty titles. I feel like I use the same ones over and over again. Phrase stickers solve that problem! The “October Memories” was actually part of a larger sticker. I simply cut it out and attached it with, you guessed it, foam pop dots! I added the gorgeous flag pins for even more texture and dimension. This layout is all about the memories of fall. We have a tradition of going to the fair every October – this collection was perfect for documenting it!
"Let's Party Cutie", by Jaime Warren.
My third and final layout, “Let’s Party Cutie”, is light, airy, and oh so girly. Perfect for my youngest daughter who is all girl! I love the pastels and the adorable embellishments. Another one of my favorite “techniques” is fussy cutting. I love creating embellishments from patterned paper – just as I did with this layout. I fussy cut the flowers and attached using pop dots. This is a great way to use patterned paper and save money! To give the flowers a sweeter touch I added the buttons in the center with glue dots. A super simple way to add texture to flowers!
I hope you enjoyed my time here on the Bella Blvd blog! I loved having the opportunity to share my work with you. A special thanks to the Bella Blvd team for allowing me to work with their amazing products!
