Saturday Sketches

Twice a month, we'll be bringing you a new sketch, and showing you a few takes on the sketch by our designers. Today, we have our first sketch for September, courtesy of Becky Fleck.

"Don't Ever Grow Up", by Becky Williams.

Here I've mixed some Birthday Girl with Birthday Boy and Thankful and added a couple of the new Designer Tapes (love the chevrons!). I used the white alphas from the Birthday Girl collection and simply colored them with a blue Copic marker. One of my favorite Bella embellishments are the little phrase/word stickers that are included on the Alpha+Bits sheets, and you can here, that I've added some right onto my pictures.

“Our Day”, by Loredana Buccaria.

Today I want to show you some tips for this layout inspired from this lovely sketch. My intention was to create a page to insert in a frame to donate to my brother for his wedding. I have used a lot of journaling stickers, I leaved some of them empty to allow to my brother to write something about their big day. I am completely in love with the journaling stickers, they are perfect to tell a story and so easy to combine with other embellishments! I have used stickers from the birthday girl collection, this means play and have fun, and break the rules. These collections can be used for every theme and occasion! I have created a sort of frame around the sides of the page where I have written my thoughts for them. Have fun!

"Everyday Moments At The Shop", by Allyson Meinholz.

I followed this sketch exactly. The pictures fit just right and it worked, so there was no need to change anything. I thought the colors matched perfectly with the NEW Thankful collection. The yellow on the machine just popped with the yellow border sticker. I did take the back of the cute cuts paper and cut out the zig zag for my accent strips. I love working with sketches. They make life easy to accomplish as I am still trying to find my groove!

Great layouts, and great sketch. Love the wedding layout. Wouldn't have thought to use Baby Girl for a wedding, but it works!
