It's Thursday, which means it's time for more free-for-all cards from our Card Designers. We have a fun mix of cards featuring the Birthday Boy and Birthday Girl collections, the Thankful collection, and the Too Cute To Spook collection.
“Love” card, by Kathy Martin.
Every once in a while a girl’s got to play with pretty tape, right? That’s how I was feeling when I started this card. I didn’t have a plan, just thought I’d create something with Bella Blvd’s Designer tape and see where it went. I outlined some Ciao Chip alphabets to make a pattern for the sentiment and then accented the card with more Ciao Chip, a tiny heart sticker and a flag.
Supplies:
Designer Tape: Pickle Juice Chevron, Teal Stripe, Orange Stripe, Pink Flowers, Yellow Chevron, Piggy Pink Stripe; Ciao Chip: Borders, Stars & Hearts; Flags: Girl; Sunshine & Happiness: Alpha+Bits Stickers
“Hello” card, by Kathy Martin.
Some of my favorite cards to make are those that show how to use up your scraps, how to use themed collections for something different and how to mix a match different lines. This card does all three. What do you think of the stitched sun rays? I like how they overlap and some clouds and go behind others.
Supplies:
Birthday Boy: Just a Note; Birthday Girl: Miles of Smiles; High Five Alpha Stickers: Blue
“New Home” card, by Kathy Martin.
I’ve been drawn to diagonal patterned paper stripes lately and I really like the way they look zigzag stitched together. The brand new Thankful collection includes some of the most adorable houses that I thought would be perfect for a new home card.
Supplies:
Thankful: Perfect Day, Turkey Tracks, Homey, Burlap, Cute Cuts, Ciao Chip; High Five Alpha Stickers: Pink-Red; Button Market: Neutrals Mix
“Trick Or Treat” card, by Kathy Martin.
With Halloween coming up before we know it, I thought it would be fun to create this “Trick Or Treat” card. I was also in the mood to play with some yummy Designer Tape and create a stitched pattern with it. I love how the new Birthday Boy Orange Stripe Designer tape coupled with the black striped Jailbird tape is perfect for Halloween projects.
Supplies:
Designer Tape: Jailbird, Orange Stripe; Too Cute to Spook: Chipboard Icons
“U R Picture Perfect” card, by Alice Carman.
I love this color palette from the Thankful collection. It makes me want pumpkin pie and turkey. Can’t go wrong with this collection, all the colors match each other!
Supplies:
Thankful: Homey, Bountiful, Turkey Tracks, Our Spot, Perfect Day, Burlap, Alpha+Bits Stickers; High Five Alpha Stickers: Yellow
“You are boo-tiful” card, by Alice Carman.
I love Bella Blvd stamps and how versatile the stamps are. I wanted something fun in the background so I used the tree stamp from the Too Cute To Spook Kit. I stamped the tree on white cardstock and turned it side ways to give the appearance of lightning bolts. Super fun!
Supplies:
Too Cute to Spook: Bitsy Spider, Alpha+Bits Stickers, Miniatures Stickers: Unity/Bella Blvd Stamps: Too Cute To Spook Stamp Kit, Tell Me More Itty Bitty
"Have An Amazing Birthday" card, by Gail Hoecker.
For my two cards I used the Birthday Boy and Birthday Girl collections. I love these two collections, which are perfect to use for any age, and the colors are perfect! I put a little glossy accents on the heart inside the flower. And, all I can say about the little boy card is “how cute are those frogs?”
Supplies:
Birthday Girl: Celebrate, Borders, Just Write Journaling Stickers; Family Dynamix: Roots
"Happy Birthday To You" card, by Gail Hoecker.
Supplies:
Birthday Boy: Eat Cake, Toadilly Cool, Borders, Cute Cuts; Thankful: Alpha+Bits Stickers

Wow! These are all so great! Kathy really is my card making idol. I love the way her stitching on each of these cards makes a clean graphic statement (even with the subtle stitching on the white background for the Trick or Treat card). Alice and Gail's cards are also sweet. :)
