Banners/Flags/Pennants are all the rage in paper crafting right now. Just look through a few project galleries and you will see them all over scrapbook pages and cards! They come in sticker and die cut form too! You can find them made of chipboard also! And there are even stamps so you can create your own banners. Today, I have another way for you to create banners, flags and pennants: Use your Scraps!
This layout is about a cruise we took last fall so I wanted it to have a very fun, playful look! I took a handful of Bella scraps leftover from making some projects with the Family Dynamix and Sophisticates lines. Then, I cut the scraps into strips of varying sizes. Next, I freehanded with my scissors and cut a "v" in the bottom of each one. I lined each individual "pennant" up across the page in between my pictures. Then I "connected" them with colorful brads. To embellish the pennants, I added bling and stickers from the Family Dynamix Alpha+Bits Cardstock Sticker sheet.
I think this made a very fun way to stay current with today's trewnds in papercrafting, and also keep those scraps from going to waste!

love it!! Great banner......love the brads between the flags....love the doodles around the paper! Adorable! xo
