When I was asked to make a layout about myself, from a mother's point of view, I had to think for a few minutes about what I was going to do. I decided to journal to myself on my layout, talking as a mom. I decided to write "Mommy Notes", which are gentle reminders to myself about things to keep in mind as I am raising my two girls. I kept the page design pretty simple, to really focus on the journaling.
I think it so important to scrap about ourselves, and get some of our thoughts and moments into the scrapbook albums our children look back on some day. Since I am not in a lot of photos, a good majority of my layouts about myself are photos-less layouts. There is something kind of refreshing about making a layout and NOT using photos. I love that it leaves plenty of room for the journaling.

Okay, yes I staged this page! :) After receiving the challenge I had this idea: I wanted to express how my role as MOM has evolved as my daughter, Alyssa, has grown in to a young woman. Let's face it, times have changed and people change, but in the end it's a mom's job to always know where our children are, what they're up to.
It may be annoying at times for them, but little do they know until they get all mature and "old" that mom actually helpe shape character, morals, attitude and so much more! It's our jobs!
