Hi, my name is Kelly. I am 10 years old and in the 5th grade. Most of my free time is spent in the pool with my swim team. I am on a volleyball team too. I like to write & draw so I like to enter contests that my school offers. The latest contest was about fair housing. For the contest we had to draw a poster for this years theme, "Fair Housing on the Right Track."
For my poster I wanted to draw a city street with houses, and have the house that accepts all kinds of people, no matter what, to be brighter & prettier than all the rest of the houses on the block (the ones that exclude certain people)....
Sometimes it's hard to know how to draw things, so I look for ideas that can help me. This time my mom (Katherine McElvain is a Bella Artista) showed me the houses on the Bella Blvd paper from the Sunny Happy Skies collection, and I used it as inspiration to draw my houses.
Kelly, I just love your drawing and really would love my own copy of it for the Bella Blvd studio! Maybe your mom and I can copy it and have it framed! I'd love to have such a great gift, signed from you yourself! Thanks for cheering up our day! Good luck with the contest! All of us can't wait to see hear how your poster does!!
