The submissions were beautiful, amazing, extraordinary! I wanted to  pick all of you! We did decide to increase the number of finalists because we couldn't narrow it down to only 10. Thank you for all the submissions. It is such a pleasure to see everyone's work and talent! We will formally announce the new Bella Artistas here on the blog as soon as all of the finalists have accepted our invitations!

Remember back on National Scrapbooking Day

in May, Bella did an awesome giveaway here on the blog? We gave away a free custom 8x8 mini album? Kerrie Cook was announced as the winner and sent me her details and choices for product. 

She told me that she wanted the mini album to be traveled themed, and therefore chose the Pack Your Bags collection. She recently traveled to Alaska and asked for most all the photo mattes to be horizontal 4x6 and also a page with a pocket for postcards. 

Once I finished the album we sent it off to her.....a couple days later I got a fabulous email from her. I love getting fun and happy emails they just make my day. Enclosed were pictures of the album completed with all her photos! I wanted to share it with you today! The photos are a little blue and not perfect, but you can totally get the idea!

Bella's Big News! + Give-Away to Celebrate!

So, I've been teasing for a while about some super big news that I couldn't wait to share. Today is the day! The day for me to get all emotional and share this fantastic milestone with you. Drum roll please....

Bella is moving!

Why is this such a big deal? Well, Bella has been a home-based business for over a year now, so to move to an office space with our own warehouse is such a huge milestone for my brand new company. It's hard to believe that only one year ago the idea hatched. The time really does fly by so fast, but that's what happens when you are passionate about what you do! Work does not feel like work these days. I hope you will join me in my excitement as we prepare for this business to take the next step. We will be moving within the next three weeks. I can't wait to introduce some of my staff to you. (I'm preparing some fun blog posts about them!)

Because I'm so thankful for all you, your support and encouragement I think it's a great day for a give-away! After all, who doesn't love free product! If you'd like a chance to win some Bella goodies leave a comment below!

Designer Spaces: Ania + Artista Submission Reminder!

Honestly, I've dreaded this part for months ever since I learned what I needed to submit as part of my 

guest-DTing. Sure, I do have a dedicated scrapbook-room (which is divided in two: me, my scrapbook 

stuff and PC at one side, and my husband/kids and their PC's on the other! I LOVE being around them

and doing my own stuff at the same time. 

But .... I am a messy scrapper. And I know the room can be (and look) SO much better if I 

only tidied itup a bit, but every time I attempt to do anything that resembles tidying up I end up getting 

grumpy because I can't find things that I know was just within reach before tidying.....so despite the 

huge clutter and mess there is a system in there somewhere!! 

So .... I present to you, a real scrapbookers very very messy room. One that's being used pretty

much all the time. And one that's screaming "come organize me" :p Notes: I need my sewing machine 

and my box of papers within reach. I tried stabilizing the boxes with paper in the shelves, but whats the 

point when I reach for them all the time?? :p

"Vil du ha?" means "Do you want some?" in Norwegian. Whie I was whipping up some layouts of 

mine my daughter came up and asked me if I wanted some candy. Ummmm why yes, I love 

plastic food! :) I quickly snapped some photos of her offering me the food (I was holding the camera in 

my hand anyways), and I love the display of colors - the green bucket, the red headphones and the little 

spot of paint on her fingers! Once again I added some paint to the letters - not covering them entirely.

Designer Challenge: "An Awesome Gift" theme/title

I love how the hearts are fluttering on this page, only held down with a thin white stitch!

Our oldest got a Nintendo DS Lite for Christmas, and apparently it's the best present he's gotten ever! :) He loves to play with it wherever he goes, and with a number of his friends also having the same device they swap games all the time. (Making it more fun and fresh without having to ruin us) :P Here he's focused on a basket game his father played - yeah - he's focused on watching his dad play ;P

I cut out te cute hearts from the Part Hearty patterned paper and stitched them onto the paper whimsically. I also decided to add crackle accent to them to make them glossy and cracked. The letters got some paint randomly slabbed onto them - I thought it'd make them more interesting against all the color!

Designer Spotlight

I'm Anne Jo Lexander, also known as Ania to my friends and on the web. I'm currently a 29 year old media student living at the west coast of Norway in Bergen with my two kids and husband. I have been scrapbooking ever since I decided I wanted to do something special with the photos from my youngest child's christening, which was in fall 2005. The minute I found scrapbooking I was hooked and have never looked back since.

"Blabaer" means blueberry in Norwegian. We have a big bush in our garden which apparently is an American Blueberry-bush yielding much larger blueberries than the natural, wild ones growing just 10 seconds away on the little hill. The kids love to harvest these!
